This feel-good story went out on the AP and UPI on January 2nd, 1984. A short Tribute to George Orwell and his book 1984 was included.

This true story made headlines again in July, 1984 after the FAA attempted to punish Kevin Walsh.

The bad guy in my story was the video guy and the Government.

Sound familiar. You can’t make this stuff up!
The video guy wanted to film a documentary about the project with his crew.

We couldn’t afford him. He got resentful and turned us into the FAA

– who almost stopped the launch of Aprealis.

Kevin Walsh co-founded the largest skydiving center in New England, Skydive New England, in 1984.

He then started a Specialized Securities Firm (Walsh Partners, Inc.) in 1986.

He sold both. Both are Multi-Million Dollar Global Companies still in business today.
